Bethune Dairy
Here are a few words from one of our dairy suppliers. We love what the Bethune family do. This is estate dairy – everything is done on the farm. Fewer food miles and better-tasting milk and yoghurt. That fresh taste is captured on the farm making it, in our mind, some of the best-tasting dairy in the state. Over to you Paul and Sally.
“We are Paul and Sally Bethune, fifth-generation dairy farmers from Lake Boga in North-western Victoria. Our family has been milking cows for 130 years - that’s almost as long as the cows have been coming home! We are the third generation to run this farm in Lake Boga and after 30 years of milking cows and now raising a family of five young boys, we’ve decided it is time for a new adventure and we are so excited to introduce Bethune Lane Dairy, our very own dairy produce company. We bottle our milk and gently handcraft our yoghurt in the Milk Enhancement Centre (the MEC), a micro-processing plant located to the side of our dairy. This means every drop of Bethune Lane Dairy milk travels no further than 50 metres from cow to bottle!”
